Anxiety. Might give you anxiety with the mention, but would you let people see it. My money is on the fact that you might have a budding career in acting if you deal with anxiety on a consistent (daily) basis. It is really unbelievable the number of people who deal with high anxiety. I bet you could look to your left, then right and someone in your periphery has some level of anxiety. Now I don’t have science baking that up, but I think you get the point.
Fear of losing someone or something, fear of dying, fear of having to talk to new people, fear of getting anxiety. The list is tremendous and seemingly never ending. But boy have individuals learned to cover up or avoid in order to hide there anxiety from others. And get this, hiding anxiety from others increases anxiety. So it builds on itself. Nasty little issue isn’t it.
In no way is this a plea to open up about your fears. That may get the sweat glands pumping. I guess what I’m suggesting is that sometimes individuals encounter people (especially kids and young people) who come across as aloof, self absorbed, or bored with whoever is around them. And they may very well be. On the other hand, these fighters of anxiety may be fighting off a fear that you are completely unaware of in the moment. Now, If you are the one who is doing the fighting, you may not realize it, but some of those people around you might be anxiety warriors too. You’re not alone. Remember that.
